The Regional Water and Environmental Sanitation Centre Kumasi (RWESCK) at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in collaboration with the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL), supported by the Paris Institute of Technology for Life, Food and Environmental Sciences (AgroParisTech), have organised a five-day professional development training on non-revenue water management.

The purpose of the workshop was to exchange ideas, knowledge, expertise, network and position participants to proffer solutions to the water loss problem in the country.

Nine years of its existence, the Regional Water & Environmental Sanitation Centre Kumasi, (RWESCK) is making great strides in innovative research, training and producing high-calibre graduates with knowledge and expertise in water resources, water supply and environmental sanitation to support the industrial and socio-economic development of Ghana and Africa.

As part of activities marking Global Handwashing Day 2022, Master of Science students at the Regional Water and Environmental Sanitation Centre, Kumasi, (RWESCK) of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi have embarked on an outreach programme at the Ampabame Basic School near Ejisu.

The programme which was under the theme: “Unite for Safety-Clean your Hands” saw students and resource persons from RWESCK creating awareness through demonstrations on handwashing practices, music, and health talks to educate the pupils on good hygiene practices.
